Alex Hernandez De Toro

Alex Hernandez is Vice President, APAC Data Center Capacity & Energy Acquisition at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), based in Singapore. He leads OCI's sourcing of data center capacity and power across Asia-Pacific as the region scales for AI-driven demand. Alex has spent nearly twenty years in international energy and digital infrastructure, on both sides of the meter, starting his career in power generation with Iberdrola and EDF Renewables. At Amazon, he was responsible for the company's first energy and sustainability program in EMEA and the energy strategy supporting the expansion of its cloud regions, working directly with utilities, regulators and governments. He then ran Shell's global commercial innovation function for industrial decarbonization, and most recently led the international expansion of a leading US powered land investment platform.
